Hoppin' John

I use country style ribs, seasoned and browned with the onion. I don't know how to cook without garlic. I add spinach to make a one-dish meal, and because I look for ways to use spinach. Of course, I serve with corn bread. This my recently-adopted New Year's tradition. Many thanks.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed on Dec. 31, 2008 by grammalinda6
I made this recipe for a Thanksgiving potluck at my office. I made a double recipe. One recipe serves 32? Not in my world. It was gone in minutes. Everyone loved it. I appreciate the variations posted by other members. I chose to cover the cheese ball with toffee bits.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed on Dec. 6, 2008 by Robbie
Awesome and easy. I use two packets of Kraft Italian Salad Dressing seasoning and a 1 cup or so of extra water. You need no beef broth. Thats just full of bad stuff anyway (MSG). The packets dont have anything bad and just follow the other ingrediants like they are. Instead of onion salt i just use some onions either fresh or dehydrated. My friends and family go crazy over this. Makes me feel like Im the bomb.
