Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This soup was wonderful! My hubby actually said "this is from scratch?!" My children LOVED it...except Jack (he doesn't eat anything I make). I didn't have veggie broth, so I used 4 cans of chix 1 can of cream of celery at the end. I added a handful of peas as well. Made this for my hubby since he has a terrible cold. Followed another reviewers suggested and sauteed the veggies and added 2 cloves minced garlic to those. Very, very good! Will be making again and again! :)

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Made this with 2 of my children on a snow day. I did not place them far enough apart and they spread into eachother. Taste was yummy.

Coffee Liqueur

Made to go in Christmas gift baskets. Not much of a drinker myself but did try some before giving away and it seemed very good!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
Today was the 3rd time I made these. I double every thing and freeze 1/2 of them when done. I used whole wheat flour today and they came out fine. The grandkids loved them and they are better for me. Followed recipe exactly. The batter is very thick so when you put the 1/4 cup of batter on the griddle you need to use the back of a spoon to gently spread it out a little.

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
Wonderful recipe! I preferred wrapping the chicken with the bacon as opposed to the way the recipe is written. This allowed saving time by not having to brown with flour before hand. Just baked for the 30 min and it was spectacular!

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This is very good fixed the way one of the reviews stated, with stuffing on top and no bottom crust but I would try baking it the whole time in a 350 degree oven and maybe tent with foil. My husband hates pot pies and when I told him we were having turkey pot pie he wasn't too thrilled. Then he saw it come out of the oven and said that wasn't what I expected at all and actually loved it so its a keeper... I used stock in place of water and bouillon (more flavor can't hurt)

Shrimp Kisses

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
My husband said these were the best things he's ever eaten! Made for New Year's Eve. Followed suggestions from reviewers--Precooked bacon, froze cheese pieces, broiled 5-7 minutes. My shrimp was labeled Med/Larg. I think truly Large shrimp would work easier, I had to cut my cheese pieces in half to get them to fit. Oh, and I used marbled colby/jack cheese

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Delicious! Used frozen mini meatballs and a package of cocktail hot dogs. Needed to add a bit more of the sauce ingredients since I had so much meat. But YUMMY! Served for New Year's Eve--10 people devoured them in a couple hours.

Baked Whole Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Tastes great and very nice presentation, but not worth the effort for me. Tastes just like when I steam smaller pieces of cauliflower and top it with breadcrumbs mixed with a little melted butter

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
These were really good. I found the egg roll wrappers in the produce section. The flavor grew on me after a while. I upped the soy sauce a bit and used chopped shrimp in place of the pork. Served w/ duck sauce. :)

Pork Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Very good! I left out the broccoli (personal preference) but kep everything else the same. I would like a little stronger flavor so next time I'll add maybe 1/4 more of the soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Overall though, really nice. It got better as it sat. :)

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
The bread came out looking perfect, and the crust was nice, but the interior was nothing special. I would make it again b/c it's so easy and looks good, but I will keep looking for a better loaf.

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
My 7 yo cried when he got to the table, "I hate spinach!" Even though he attempted to remove the spinach from the cheese mixture, he still asked for seconds! This is high praise, thus the 5 stars!
