Sausage Quiche

Reviewed on Jan. 2, 2009 by Dave B.
My guests for my New Years Day brunch really thought this was great!! I made a few modifications such as using bulk sausage instead of the links and instead of making a lattice top with the crescent rolls, I sprinkled the chopped pimentos over the top for color. I'll make this again!

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed on Jan. 1, 2009 by Joy
Absolutely delicious, so flavorful and not watery. Followed recipe exactly with few exceptions: Cooked in slow cooker on high for 5 hours instead of low. Did not have red pepper, but this would have added color. Used lots of diced home smoked ham instead of the ham and bacon. Very, very good. Served with grilled chicken. I shared some the next day with a neighbor despite the protests of my greedy husband!

Challah I

Reviewed on Dec. 24, 2008 by <3 DogLover <3
I have made this recipe four times now, and everytime it turns out great. I always put 3/4 cup of honey instead of 1/2, and I add raisins. After the bread is done, and baste it in butter and then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the top. I like to either do a 5 or 6 strand braid, and then swirl the loaf into a circle. I have been using all purpose flour, but today I'm trying bread flour. We'll see how it turns out. Thanks for the recipe!
