Caesar Baked Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This is amazing! It has so much flavor with so little work and effort. I made it exactly to the recipe, except I didn't broil, just baked it. This is a keeper.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
How can something so simple be THIS good?? It's like eating candy. I don't even like brussel sprouts but its all I had for dinner tonight. Just kept popping them in my mouth. Be sure to toss them like the directions say - that's important. YUM YUM!

Beef Empanadas Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
Boyfriend and I both loved them. I was already preparing a full pound of ground beef, so I just double the recipe, and got a whole bunch of these (not that that's a bad thing). :)

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
My dad, the demanding eater, loves this dish. I use hot or spicy sausage to give it more of the favor my family enjoys.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
Based on my tastes this recipes gets 4 Stars... my Hubby would easily give it 5! This recipes as written was a bit salty for my taste, however the Hubby loves salty foods and he dug right in eating 2 helpings! Overall I think it has a good flavor, I think next time I will cut back on the salt a bit by using low sodium products. We served this with mashed potatoes and a nice green salad, Good meal option. Thanks for sharing!

Meatloaf With A Bite

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This was a very good makeover for regular old meatloaf! I made a few changes based purely on what I had available in the pantry to make this... I used canned tomatoes with green chiles instead of salsa and bread crumbs in place of the saltines. We will definitely be making this recipe in the future. My husband had the leftovers wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and sour cream the next day and loved it just as much! Thanks for sharing!

All-Star Veggie Burger

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
These were surprisingly good. I have had veggie burgers before, but never really cared for them. I ended up halving the recipe. TIP: Put the chickpeas in a ziploc and mash them with a rolling pin, super easy! Instead of fresh basil, I used dried. Didn't have the BBQ sauce, so I did a 1/2 ketchup/Worcestershire sauce. I added 1/4 tsp minced garlic instead of powder. I added 1/4 tsp ground mustard, 1.5 tbs chopped onion, and a few shakes of Liquid smoke. I also added 2 tbs of Bisquick, as suggested by another reviewed. I didn't feel like it needed an egg, like some others have said. Overall, pretty impressed. May make these again when I get tired of turkey since I do not eat beef burgers.

Shrimp with Penne and Squash

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This was really yummy. I, too, added a little diced onion and instead of penne I used bowtie pasta (what I had on hand) The only other addition was some red pepper flakes. Thank you for a "keeper" recipe. Next time I think I'll try this with chicken and add some mushrooms!

Garlic Bread Fantastique

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This was pretty good but a few small tweaks would make it better IMO. As others said, cut down on the salt and pepper - I used a scant 1/4 teaspoon of each. I also added another tablespoon of mayo to make it less greasy. Great with "Simple Chicken Parmesan" from this site.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This is an excellent recipe. I follow the ingredients exactly, but depending on how many I am serving, I will sometimes layer this as opposed to using the 13x9 dish. The only thing regarding the recipe is that the cream cheese needs to be softened. If not, you will have lumps. I think you can also use less sweetened condensed milk too (if you happen to be short or would like to cut back to 1/2 the can). I also think that you actually need about 3/4 of the bag of vanilla wafers to get the oh so yummy cookies texture in this. This recipes is AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
This is soooo good. And it's very easy...even my husband can make it! I left him the recipe...and some VERY specific instructions....and he did it! I did cook the dumpling more like 90 minutes and subbed 1 can of cream of mushroom for cream of chicken.
