Senior Product Manager, Product Marketing

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for identification of opportunities, conceptual development, functional definition, performance management, and ensuring customer satisfaction for the features and products that are part of the Allrecipes Product Marketing strategic roadmap. The Senior Product Manager spearheads and leads the design, optimization and management of consumer facing web products and features that such as: recipe submission, ratings and reviews, community message boards and other communication tools, recipe box, search engine optimization, keyword and categorical search features, membership registration and payment, member profile and all other site features and design.

This position will work with other internal cross-functional teams, external partners and Reader’s Digest affiliated companies to develop and optimize web products on Allrecipes from conceptual modeling and design prototypes through effective life-cycle management. The Senior Product Manager will develop specifications and other project documentation supporting implementation, and collaborate with reporting and finance teams to build business models for new features and feature enhancements for Allrecipes. This role will also be required to coordinate in conjunction with Project Management, Marketing and Development teams to facilitate feature implementation and launch.

Job Responsibilities:

New Product Development

  • Develop new features that support the organization’s value proposition
  • Integrate determined value proposition into business objectives and success metrics
  • Develop product requirements documents, including Project Proposal, Product Specs and coordinating smooth hand-off to technical planning group
  • Manage product and feature launch efforts, including design and production management, business validation, launch, and performance monitoring
  • Provide opportunity analysis for new products and features

Product Management

  • Maintain and optimize existing features to optimize customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Identify and manage product value proposition throughout product (and feature) life cycle
  • Track and analyze key product and feature metrics
  • Identify and mitigate issues during product management and development
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key departments such as Project Management, Creative, Editorial, IT, Member Retention, and Customer Service
  • Provide opportunity analysis for enhancements for existing products and features

Product Marketing

  • Leverage marketing promotions & e-mail marketing teams to develop promotion plans for successfully taking products to market
  • Work with marketing teams to optimize feature promotions throughout product lifecycle
  • Ensure consistency of product marketing efforts throughout introduction of new features, content and parallel product/feature promotions

Product Strategy

  • Maximize product value proposition over complete product lifecycle
  • Provide ongoing evaluation & recommendations for existing products against current business objectives and success metrics, including customer satisfaction
  • Manage all product and/or feature launch efforts, including feature release, and pricing and packaging structure
  • Track, analyze, and interpret key product and feature metrics – leverage to recommend product strategy

Job Requirements

  • A qualified candidate should have 3-5 years experience in online feature or product development and marketing, preferably the social networking and/or subscription-based consumer Internet space. A quick study who clearly exhibits aptitude, integrity, tenacity, and a good sense of humor.
  • Project or Program management experience for initiatives of varying scope and speed to market is a plus. Familiarity with project/program life-cycle and software development best practices also a strong plus.
  • Candidates must have familiarity with current web technologies and relationships between browser, server and database. Strong written and verbal communication and business analysis and planning skills are required, along with attention to detail.
  • Experience and proven track record of working well with cross-functional teams, external vendors, remote development and management teams is key to the success of this position.

Account Manager – Online Advertising

Work as a partner with designated Regional Sales Manager(s) to create and coordinate proposal implementation to ensure successful delivery of advertising campaigns. Is primary point of contact for the advertiser post-sale. Execute and implement advertising campaigns to ensure accurate impression, performance and revenue delivery. Support advertising sales to increase revenue.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for the advertiser post-sale.
  • Develop and revise new/existing proposals by applying your expert knowledge of the Allrecipes.com site and competitive industry knowledge. With input from the Regional Sales Manager this position will develop a proposal for an online campaign attaining the advertisers’ objectives – this process includes communication of product availability, allocation of program impressions, impressions and sponsorship availability; strategically align products and proposals with client objectives, and review proposals for accuracy.
  • Coordinate efforts between other cross-functional teams as necessary (implementation of new products and custom elements). Position interfaces with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Creative, HTML and Site Operations departments.
  • Update contract management system (FatTail) with campaign change orders (campaign delays, optimizations, etc.) and alert team of changes that will affect revenue.
  • Work closely with Advertising Operations and Advertising Sales on budget forecasting and revenue/pipeline monitoring.
  • Prepares campaign reports based on Web analytics from Ad Operations. Looks for opportunities to renew and up sell campaigns.
  • Reduce account attrition through understanding of advertisers’ objectives, ensuring advertising performance, and suggesting appropriate improvements and add ons.
  • Provide existing/historical program feedback during proposal process to generate compelling renewable advertising programs.
  • Meet with clients to strengthen new and existing relationships; discuss program requirements and benefits, campaign metrics and added value concepts.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Advertising Operations, Advertising Services and Creative departments to resolve issues and problems that affect a product and program success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing, advertising, and/or sales experience in an on-line environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, emphasis in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business preferred.
  • Candidate must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Administrative Coordinator – Facilities and HR

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director of human resources in facilities management and human resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties:
    • Answer door and greet visitors and accept and distribute deliveries.
    • Sort and handle incoming and outgoing mail and Federal Express and intra-company mail.
    • Answer or redirect occasional phone calls.
  • Administrative/Accounting:
